CLASS 43 - MONDAY, JANUARY 9, 2017

 

Programming of Lego Mindstorms Robot on Ocean Mat - Action Blocks

Students will learn to make the robot move in different ways my using the various Action Blocks.

Continuing Challenge 4: Starting from the port, the robot must go and pick up (push) the salmon and carry it up the river to the spawning grounds. 

 

CLASS 44 - THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, 2017

 

Programming of Lego Mindstorms Robot on Ocean Mat - Action Blocks, Flow Blocks and Sensor Blocks

Students will build the colour/ultrasonic sensor attachment and will learn to make the robot react when detecting speceific colours, using the colour sensor with the wait block.

Challenge 5: Starting from the port, the robot must detect a contaminated zone (shown as a colour on the mat). Once it has reached the zone, the robot must stop and repeat a sound (beep) 5 times.
